Round 2 of $200M Stormwater Fund

Round 2 of $200M Stormwater Fund

Round #2 of the National Stormwater Harvesting Fund (DEWHA) is now open. It provides up to 50% funding for your rain or stormwater harvesting project. If you don’t want to miss out, you need to act now by contacting Jason or Ryan.

Stormwater Harvesting or Pollution…

Stormwater Harvesting or Pollution…

…the problem is always the same: Never enough money to do it all. Sounds familiar?

If you want to come and see how Blacktown City Council have been employing their stormwater levy in a strategic fashion to achieve both waterways protection and enable future stormwater harvesting, come and join us for a PR event on site. A 55t crane will lift in place one of the largest Gross Pollutant Traps ever installed in Australia.

In a five month D&C contract WCG designed and installed GPT's that match each site’s specific criteria, such as hydraulics, layout, pollution load, access and lifecycle costs. Interested in how we did it? Mitchell can help.

Show me the level

Show me the level

Do you know that our smart meters can do more than just monitor water meters? Ku-ring-gai Council wanted to be able to make informed decisions on when irrigation should occur and the volumes allocated based on the amount of water harvested. WCG’s innovative SMART Metering Network provides all that information via a user friendly interface.  It also functions as a leak detection device with sophisticated alarm functions.

Ever been frustrated by a clumsy PLC interface or the fact that no historical data was logged? Ask Mike how WCG’s SMART Meter can show and record critical water parameters from almost anything.

Logan Hyperdome - Water Wise Management

Logan Hyperdome - Water Wise Management

The Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM), Logan Water and Water Conservation Group under the Climate Smart Business Cluster program are helping one large business cluster in Logan reduce their water consumption and become a leader in water wise management.

One of the largest individual smart metering projects in Australia will allow the Logan Hyperdome shopping centre to monitor water consumption at all key points including amenities, cooling towers and tenancies. Ryan can tell you more how this online data will help with tenant education to save water and improve the bottom-line.  Ask him also about our innovative Leak Guarantee!

Woolworths Corporate Water Tree

Woolworths Corporate Water Tree

How does your organisation measure its baseline consumption? How do you check if you are on track to achieve your targeted water savings? Can you slice and dice by region, operating division or type? Dreading the annual report, when all this data is meant to be collated?

When Woolworths heard that WCG had recently solved a similar task for the NSW RTA, they asked if we could help. For free information on how we are combining smart metered data with billing data and modelling information to help save water, reduce costs and minimise your Wet Print™,  talk to our Managing Director, Guenter Hauber-Davidson.

TraDeOff - WCG’s Carbon in Water Calculation Model

TraDeOff - WCG’s Carbon in Water Calculation Model

When potable water is conserved, carbon emissions are also saved from reductions in the energy needed to treat, pump, and heat the water. Unfortunately, often water savings result in increased energy consumption. To date it has been almost impossible to trade the two off against each other.

Enter TraDeOff, WCG’s brand new carbon calculator.  TraDeOff can assess the sustainability impact of water conservation products or programs relative to the amount of carbon emissions saved.  Having a certificate that shows the amount of carbon your product saves can be a great marketing tool.

For large water conservation schemes, Julian Shortt has even used TraDeOff as the basis for carbon credit applications; a great way to push towards carbon neutrality. Interested? Contact Julian.
